Samantha Riches
Samantha Riches studied for her undergraduate degree in music performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London and graduated with honours earlier this year. During her time there, she studied double bass with Duncan McTier, Corin Long and Graham Mitchell as well as taking part in master classes with many leading orchestral principals.
During her last year of study in the UK, Samantha was accepted onto the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra String Training Scheme for 2007-08, as part of which she received coaching and professional extra work from the orchestra. She was also involved in a similar scheme through the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Now in Sydney, Samantha is studying for her Masters in Music Performance at the Conservatorium of Music with Alex Henery.
