Morgan Haselden (guitar) is currently in his third year of a Bachelor of Music degree majoring in guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He has received the Frank Hammond Scholarship for the past 2 years. Morgan started playing guitar when he was about twelve. He has become more and more fascinated by it as he has grown older as well as developing a love of music in general. While attending Pennant Hills Hight School he joined the stage band in year nine and travelled overseas on tour with the band to Japan ht efollowing year. While Morgan predominantly plays music for the classical guitar, he prefers to listen to his favourite bands (eg. Sigur Ros) and is always listening to Triple J on the train to and from uni. This year mMorgan took part in the 'Great Southern Tour' with three othe rcon students. The aim of this tour which is run by David Miller, is to bring music to small country towns. The tourers perfomred every night for a week and visited a couple of underprivileged schools each day. Morgan is excited for this perfomrance because it finally gives him a chance to just rock out!
