David Reglar

David Reglar is a first year jazz major at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Before taking up saxophone in his senior years at Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts, David studied clarinet for 9 years under the tutelage of Roweena Harris. During this time he competed successfully in various eisteddfods around the Illawarra and achieved Hons. in his grade 8 AMEB exam.

As lead tenor saxophonist of the Wollongong Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra, David has had the opportunity to play with jazz greats James Morrison, Bobby Shew and Dave Goodmann. David's greatest achievement to date is claiming 1st position in the "AAAA" division of the Reno Jazz Festival as a member of the combo "Kerr-Plunk". He was competing against the top high school and College combos from the Western region of  North America. David studies saxophone with Matt Keegan and Col Loughnan.
