Hayden Woolf

Hayden Woolf is a young Australian composer, songwriter and performer. He is currently working towards his Masters degree in composition at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Early in 2009 Hayden premiered his dramatic piece Red Liquid Triangular Condition for soprano and large mixed ensemble at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Simone Easthope as soloist. In 2007 Hayden collaborated on two projects, Sydney Fade and In Transit, with international artist Klaus Fruchtnis. The latter premiered at the Alliance Française in Bangkok. Sydney Fade, a multimedia and photography project with choreography by Dean Walsh, will be included in the Armory Exhibition 2009 at Sydney Olympic Park. Hayden also performs as a member of indie chamber folk band Jack Colwell and the Owls and maintains an active career as a composer and flute and theory tutor. Hayden’s music combines elements of 1970’s folk music, progressive rock and both traditional and contemporary classical composition. The result is his distinctive symphonic theatre folk style.
